For community behaviour change, effective communications is required. One cannot inspire community to  change behaviour by giving examples. Change happens when people relate themselves in that example. Deeper the engagement, adoption is quicker and sustainable. People start liking the change and embrace it whole heartedly.

Behavioural change is very complex. There are three phases of behaviour change. One time change, duration of change and lasting change. Each phase goes through the cycle of initiate new behaviour, reinitiate familiar behaviour, increase behaviour intensity, decrease behaviour intensity and stop existing behaviour processes.

There are three ways of effective communications to change human behaviour.

1. Information Transfer
2. Attitude Change
3. Behaviour Change
